How ideukcheck works
What this site does, where the information comes from, and how to use it if you do not read Korean yet.
Updated
ideukcheck helps you find government benefits you can get in Korea and work out which option saves you more money. Every benefit links to the official page where you apply.
What you can do here
- Check benefits for your situation. Answer a few questions and see which benefits match your age, city and income. This tool is in Korean for now.
- Follow first steps in order. Our English guides list what to do after you arrive, from alien registration to health insurance.
- Compare options. Calculators show which choice saves more, for example which transit card refund is bigger.
Where the information comes from
We copy facts only from government and public agency pages, such as Gov24, HiKorea, the National Health Insurance Service and the National Pension Service. Each guide lists its official sources at the bottom with the date we checked them.
Rules can change. Before you apply, open the official page and check again.
If you do not read Korean yet
- Use your browser's translate feature on the official pages we link.
- Call the Immigration Contact Center at 1345. It helps in many languages.
- Ask a Korean coworker or friend to read the Korean benefit pages with you. Each page lists who can apply and how.
